Reference 5512 with COSC cal. 1570 movement and 4-line dial.

1.6 mil serial number circa 1967 production

This a rare and attractive variation of an early matte 5512. Aside from having the “meters first” print, this is also so-called “Neat Fonts” dial. If you are not familiar, the short description is that the fonts basically resemble the same typography as in gilt Subs from earlier era. The case is in excellent vintage condition with thick and even lugs and crown guards. It has been polished by LA Watchworks in recent months. The numbers are legible.

The dial is very clean and original without any chips or scratches or relume or missing lume. The hands were matched by LA Watchworks for better esthetics.

It has the original/period correct bezel insert with long 5 typography in excellent condition.

Caseback is original and dated in ’67.

The bracelet is a nice 93150 with 580 ends and O date code. Obviously newer, but much preferred than a 7206 rivet for wearability.

There are no box or papers. LA Watchworks also put on a new crystal while it was there in April.
