This is the model featured on the movie "James Bond Casino Royale" with James Craig. For those unaware of what makes this model special - the 2500D movement was the best iteration of the heavily modified ETA 2892-A2 with the Self-winding chronometer & Co-Axial escapement with rhodium-plated finish added to this movement for robustness, accuracy, and 48 hours of power reserve. This is a tough one to let go since I was so invested in it. Unfortunately lately I have been slowly steering away from large size watches and as much as I love this watch, I do not wear it - so up for sale it goes. A bit of background on this gorgeous piece. I purchased this watch in the WatchUseek forum from a fellow WUS member on April '22. Once received - I noticed the watch had experienced very light wear for a 10 y/o piece. The warranty card is dated July 2012 (11 years old now). Immediately after I received the watch I purchased the OEM rubber strap directly from Omega ($300 + $15 shipping and tax, total $335). I worn the watch on the rubber strap maybe 3 to 5 times at most then back on the winder it went. On May '22 I sent the watch for a complete overhaul to Omega in NJ in which the movement was serviced and the case and bracelet polished as well as the clasp replaced (total cost $858.24). The service date was June 20th 2022 and it carries a 2-year Omega warranty. The watch came back to me early July and when I received it I noticed some smudges on the AR coating of the crystal so I sent it right back to Omega for this to be corrected under warranty. Omega customer service agreed to replace the crystal and as an accomodation, they also replaced the bezel. The watch was received late September '22 and since then it has barely seen any wristtime and it spends its time on the winder. Current readings on the timegrapher pull an amazing +-0s/day. **So this beautiful watch is fully serviced, running perfect, under service warranty until June 20th 2024, has a new crystal, bezel and clasp!
