Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.* This Elgin pocket watch was manufactured in Elgin, Illinois, and was finished in 1925. The watch is powered by Elgin’s in-house 17 jewel Grade 477 movement, which was produced only between 1923-1927. The movement has been restored and custom refinished with blue accents. The accents were created by thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components, and the hands of the watch have been restored using the same thermal treatment process. The brass jewel settings have been restored to their original golden color, and the black, enamel letting was restored by hand. The Elgin dial is metal, in excellent condition, and features a unique pattern in the center. The watch is cased in a wristwatch conversion case so the timepiece can be easily enjoyed on the wrist.
