Hello! Selling this stunning Seiko Age of Discovery 6M13-0010 Perpetual Calender. Made to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus discovering the America's. All functions are working as they should and I just uploaded a video to my Reddit profile here: https://www.reddit.com/u/Ezodan/s/dcDphsYC5V The watch is still in great condition especially considering it's release 30+ years ago. All parts are original, the crystal and case have scratches, the crystal (see photos) and the bezel has wear around the edge. The dial is completely clean without any marks or scratches. Price: $675 including worldwide shipping I was in the process of sourcing a new bezel and glass but due to a lack of time (first kid born in April) I'm scaling down both my collection and some ongoing projects. Besides this one that functions perfectly I also have another 2x 6m13-0010 that are in need of a checkup and/or service, feel free to send a message if you have interest in those and I'll create a post, I'll post some pictures and info on my Reddit profile. The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
