Hey all! Today I have WatchDives homage to one of Blancpains greatest pieces! I typically don’t go for these, but ever since Swatch released their 50 fathoms I had an increased interest in the whole 50 fathoms/Aqualung collection from Blancpain. However, if you know anything about Blancpain, they only release more wearable cases once in a blue moon—and they never really returned to the OG Aqualung look. On top of that a vintage Aqualung is useless in the water (even if I serviced it), and I don’t want to risk it becoming a 20k paperweight. In comes this! It’s about what you’d expect from WatchDives and the like. Sapphire, NH38 (no ghost date), 300m water resist, fully lumed ceramic bezel, and tons of BGW9. Accuracy wise it’s running at +1 sec/day! It wears and feels great. The case seems to be a bead blasted, or some sort of blasted-looking finish. The bezel is 120 click with very nice resistance and action. Overall, it’s a great little watch! Condition Nothing much to say other than it’s new! No marks, only really tried on for like an hour and then boxed for a couple days. Please feel free to ask any questions!
