I have decided to part ways with my Christopher Ward C60 Trident Limited Edition with a lovely hand-distressed dial. I picked this watch up around a year ago from its previous owner and have really enjoyed my time with it. I am sure its next owner will feel the same. Overall, the watch is in good shape. It shows some wear (particularly on the clasp) but the bezel and crystal are both in great shape. The case has a few marks but nothing major. It keeps excellent time (as you’d expect for a COSC piece). Note that this watch comes with its original packaging (including tags) and a CW vintage oak leather strap. I am asking $725. This includes shipping within the continental US. I’m really not interested in trades right now, but I could perhaps be swayed by some “fun” red, orange, or yellow pieces. Christopher Ward was founded by Chris Ward, Mike France and Peter Ellis on a boat on the river Thames in 2004.

In 2005, Christopher Ward released their first watch which created a whole new model for the watchmaking industry. When influential watch bloggers wrote about their watches on TimeZone, Christopher Ward were being discussed more than Rolex in December 2005.

For the company’s 10th anniversary in 2014, it merged with Swiss manufacturing partners Synergies Horlogères SA to create Christopher Ward London Holdings Ltd. This culminated in the launch of Christopher Ward’s first in-house movement, Calibre SH21, in July 2014. Conceived and designed over the past four years by Christopher Ward’s watchmaker, Johannes Jahnke, the SH21 is entirely Swiss-made by some craftsmen. This release is said to be “probably the most important development by a British watch brand in the past 50 years.”

Christopher Ward London was the only watch company to rank in The Sunday Times SME Export Track 100, ranking 77th in 2015.
