The watch sits on an original IWC dark brown leather strap, making it extremely comfortable on the wrist. The Le Petit Prince aspect of the watch is derived from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s novel, The Little Prince. Saint-Exupéry was a well known French author and aviator that disappeared on a reconnaissance mission in 1943. I absolutely love the small details on this watch, such as the bright red small seconds hand, and how the minute hand on the subdial “jumps” to the next minute when the Chronograph second hand crosses 12 o’clock. This watch is part of a very nice set including its original manuals, warranty card dated for January of 2019, IWC microfiber cloth, and OEM IWC travel box! The watch is in great condition overall; with very minor wear, such as hairline scratches on the case, bezel, and typical swirls on the case back. The crystal is very clean, aside from one tiny blemish on the anti - reflective coating that can only be seen in specific lighting conditions. I have done my best to capture all of the watch’s imperfections for you to know exactly what you are getting. Most of the small imperfections on this watch completely disappear while wearing it! This watch has been serviced at IWC approximately six months ago, and is keeping excellent time. This is an ideal watch for someone who is looking for (arguably) the coolest IWC Chronograph to add to the collection, or for someone who is looking for a beautiful watch that can be dressed up or down for any occasion.
