While many collectors are familiar with the King Quartz and Grand Quartz lines, the Lord Quartz remains a more elusive offering, making it an underappreciated gem in Seiko’s history. The 7853-8000 carries a refined integrated bracelet design, reminiscent of classics like the IWC Ingenieur, giving it a timeless and versatile appeal. At 35mm in diameter, 8.5mm in thickness, and with an 18mm lug width, it strikes an excellent balance of proportions, wearing slim and comfortably on the wrist while retaining a distinct 1970s character. The dial is a highlight of this piece, featuring a fine granular texture that adds depth without being flashy. Its matte finish underscores the utilitarian nature of the design, striking a perfect balance between understated elegance and daily wear practicality. This example is in excellent condition, showing only light wear on the case and bracelet consistent with careful use. The crystal is flawless, dial is original and shows no marks. It comes fitted on the original bracelet that fits up to 19cm (7.25 inches). The watch has been fully serviced, and is installed with new battery so it can.
