I bough this about 5 years ago to use as my dress watch but it was rarely worn from the start and never worn now so it’s time to release it to a new home. I had it fully serviced by a local watchmaker at the time of purchase, it has been worn probably less than 20 times since then but wound at least monthly between. It keeps great time. 36mm gold plated case, plexi crystal, 44.5mm lug to lug, 5mm thick, 19mm lug width.

Overall, the watch is in very nice condition considering it’s age. There is a sizable ding in the top left lug and the case back is lightly scuffed. The watchmaker who serviced the watch believed the watch was in original condition with the exception of a replaced seconds subdial. I don’t know enough about vintage watches to think differently but I make no warranties as to originality.

When I bought the watch it came with some documentation that this was once in the collection of the National Watch and Clock Museum in Pennsylvania. The collection photo shows a different seconds subdial which would confirm at least part of the watchmaker’s opinion (the rest of the watch appears the same including the ding on the lug). The serial number indicates a 1944-47 date of manufacture. Lightly etched into the caseback is a name and the year 1945. It’s currently on a brown ostrich strap I added.

The description provided by the museum in the collection entry: “Omega wristwatch gold. Silvered dial, blued hour and minute hand. Seconds at six (gold hand). Movement, 13 1/2 ligne, marked “Omega, Swiss, 15 jewels”. Case, damaskeened inside marked “Metal Plaque G, 20 microns, Omega Watch Co. (in triangle), Fab. Suisse, Swiss Made, 2272-2”. Cal 30T2-260.”

$500 obo. I‘m not interested in trades but have a Seiko Flightmaster listed on the forum that I’d do a package deal with. Let me know if you have any questions or would like more photos. Thanks.
