Hello watch family! This is a super cool Seiko 5 Sports from March 1968. This is within the first month or two that these started to be produced. This watch was recently serviced by a master watch maker in my Milwaukee Redbar group. Using modern Mobius oils will keep this running great for a long time. I've included timegrapher shots. It also had the crystal,crown and caseback seals replaced and was pressure tested to an accurate 70m. The bezel o-ring was also replaced so the bidirectional bezel rotates smoothly. As an added BONUS the original crystal was replaced with a high domed beveled Sapphire with clear AR coating from Seikosis. The case and bezel are in its original condition and not polished. 39.5mm x12.5mmx45mm wears right in that sweet spot. The dial has a awesome fade and patina. The silver minute track is there but has spots that change in intensity as the light changes on it. Watch will come on a period correct tropic strap that is nice and soft. It also has these little feet that lock in and keep it in place kind of like a fitted strap. Very nice quality. This is a great example of a historically important watch in the Seiko catalog.
