For sale is this JDM Seiko 08QZ made in Japan in October of 1975. Reference Number: QMW021 0843-5010T From the golden age of quartz and in very good condition for being 50 years old. Mesmerising electric blue TV dial that changes vastly depending on the angle the light hits. Japanese Kanji or English day of the week. Beautiful and over-engineered 0843a (3003) movement with 9 Jewels! (same as Grand Seiko quartz movements). Single-crystal quartz. Lovely bevels and angles on the square case. The bracelet is aftermarket but I managed to source a near-identical one to the original (shown in the clipping from the 1975 Seiko catalogue). Slight ageing to the dial and case, the crystal is in decent condition. The Daini lightning bolt symbol on the dial indicates it was made in the Seiko Daini factory (King Seiko) during their rivalry with the Suwa factory. Dimensions: 33mm x 39mm x 10mm Bought in Japan.
