Hi everyone. Up for sale is a beautiful Gruen Precision ref 422-973. It has a handwinding movement and the 30mm case is in overall great condition, fits nicely on my 6.5” wrist. Sets, winds, runs and keeps time great! This configuration has a gorgeous piepan dial with sub seconds complication and really cool “fancy” lugs. What an era of watches. I wish modern watches looked like this. The Gruen Precision is known as the original James Bond watch. It was worn by Sean Connery in the opening sequence of Doctor No, as well as other early Bond films. It’s said to have been Connery’s personal watch that he chose to wear in the early installments of 007. I saw the same reference sell here for $275 less than a month ago.
