Explore Sternglas

Sternglas began in Germany in 2016, taking the clarity of Bauhaus design as a starting point rather than an excuse to strip away every detail. Its watches are recognizable by their open dials, fine hands, restrained typography, and domed sapphire crystals. There’s a useful tension here: the layouts feel almost diagrammatic, while the curved glass softens their geometry on the wrist.

The Naos is the clearest expression of that approach. Slender hour markers and a date window at six give the dial just enough structure, with plenty of space between them. The quartz version keeps the case slim; the Naos Automatik adds a mechanical movement and an exhibition back without abandoning the same visual vocabulary.

The Hamburg takes a busier route, bringing a more finely graduated scale and stronger instrument-like character to the collection. Its dial rewards a closer look, particularly where contrasting colors separate the markings. Beside the quieter Naos, it shows how much difference a few carefully placed details can make.
