The Longines Legend Diver 36mm keeps the twin crowns and internal rotating bezel of Longines’ 1959 diver, but brings that distinctive layout to a smaller wrist. It’s the version to consider if you love the broad dial and spare markings of the 42mm model but find its long lugs too much.

The L3.374 family retains a date window at six, a useful distinction from the newer, no-date 39mm Legend Diver. The black-dial version comes closest to the original’s restrained character, with warm-toned markers beneath a domed sapphire crystal. Don’t judge the fit by diameter alone: those straight, extended lugs still give it presence. The upper crown operates the internal bezel; make sure it turns smoothly and that the bezel stays put once the crown is screwed down.
