Antarctique

The Czapek Antarctique pairs an integrated bracelet with a movement worth turning the watch over for: the micro-rotor SXH5, whose openworked bridges give the back almost as much character as the dial. Its C-shaped bracelet links and sharply drawn case make it distinctive within a crowded category, without requiring a loud dial to do the work.

Introduced in 2020, the Antarctique offers noticeably different personalities across its dial treatments. The Passage de Drake is a good starting point: its repeating trapezoidal relief catches light in overlapping bands, bringing animation to an otherwise restrained design. For a smaller wrist, seek out the Antarctique S, which reduces the case from 40.5mm to 38.5mm rather than merely changing the dial. Pay particular attention to how the integrated bracelet’s first links sit on your wrist; that relationship matters more here than the diameter alone.
