Czapek has two distinct accents: the measured elegance of a pocket-watch dial and the sharper geometry of a modern sports watch. The Swiss name dates to 1845, when watchmaker François Czapek established his own business after an earlier partnership with Patek. Its revival in 2015 brought that largely forgotten name back to contemporary wrists.

The Quai des Bergues makes the historical connection tangible. Its two low-set subdials, around half past four and half past seven, give the face an unusually open, balanced arrangement. Inside, the hand-wound SXH1 provides a seven-day power reserve. Elaborate guilloché patterns and enamel dials offer different expressions of the same restrained layout.

Introduced in 2020, the Antarctique takes a different route: an integrated bracelet, crisp case lines, and slender applied markers. Turn it over and the automatic SXH5 reveals a micro-rotor and an airy arrangement of bridges. The bracelet’s C-shaped connecting links add a recognizable signature, while the dial textures bring detail to a watch whose basic architecture stays clean.
