The Bvlgari Octo is recognizable by the conversation between its round dial opening and octagonal case, with stepped surfaces that make even a plain three-hand version feel architectural. Across the family, that geometry takes different forms: sharply faceted in the original Octo, softer in the Octo Roma, and flattened to striking effect in the separately listed Octo Finissimo.

The modern Bvlgari Octo arrived in 2012, establishing the angular case construction that anchors the range. Three-hand automatics and chronographs give that design different personalities; the extra pushers and registers make the latter substantially busier. Introduced in 2017, the Octo Roma softened the silhouette, reducing the emphatic layering without abandoning the octagonal outline. It is a distinct branch, not simply another dial treatment of the original.

Generation matters within the Octo Roma, too. The 2023 redesign brought Clous de Paris dial texture, more prominent luminous hands and markers, and 100-metre water resistance to the automatic models. Meanwhile, the Octo Finissimo, introduced in 2014, pursued ultra-thin construction—a different engineering brief from the fuller-bodied Octo and Roma watches.
