Here is your chance to own one of the rarest moon watches out there without breaking the bank. This is not a collector's example but is a fantastic watch to wear. This particular variant was made for only one year, between 1968 and early 1969. It has all the usual characteristics of the 321 movement Speedmasters, including the incredible stepped dial with applied logo, but inside beats the 861 movement. While the 321 is a legendary movement, the 861 is a bit more robust and beats at 4Hz rather than 3Hz, giving it a more modern tick. This particular watch features a stunning tritium dial that has aged perfectly, with little to no variation in the shade of cream. All the tritium is present on the dial. It also retains its rich matte black color without any discoloration. The case is in good condition, with sharp lines and a brushed finish, with little to no significant dents or scratches. Amazingly, it still has the original flat-footed crown. That being said, it has service hands and a replica bezel from Spiralwinder instead of the original, and the caseback has been lost to time by the previous owner. For this reason, it is not a collector’s watch, but still a fantastic example nonetheless.
