Selling one of my coolest random eBay finds from a few years ago. This is a circa 1950s Gubelin Ipso-Vox, which was a rebranded Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox. Most from this era are in gold, this is a copy that is in stainless steel with acrylic crystal. Most importantly - YES - the ALARM still works. Originally imagined as a parking meter alarm, this can be set to any time. The bottom winder at 4 o’clock winds the watch movement, the top winder at 2 o’clock winds the mechanical alarm (hammer). Perhaps one of the most useful complications, it will create vibration and sound at the set time. Currently, this JLC is running at -22 spd with a 2.5 ms beat error, so will need service.
