The defining feature is a case designed to rotate so the watch dial can be flipped inside, ostensibly to protect the fragile crystal from impacts…say a flying ball during a mythic polo match. There are touches of blue throughout – blued steel hands, blue cabochon at 12 o’clock, and original blue crocodile strap. An ultra thin hand-wound mechanical movement by F. Piguet powers the watch. "For his coronation in 1902, Edward VII ordered 27 tiaras and issued a royal warrant to Cartier in 1904. Similar warrants soon followed from the courts of Spain, Portugal, Russia, Siam, Greece, Serbia, Belgium, Romania, Egypt, Albania, Monaco, and the House of Orleans.
