Up for sale today is the “OG” Tudor Black Bay 41. The Tudor Black Bay Ref. 79220N commonly known as the “Smiley.” The nickname comes from the curved text on the dial reading “Self-Winding.” This watch has become quite a collectible. At its 41mm size, it’s a nice size for most wrists. It features an ETA movement, which (a) is cost-effective to service, and (b) slims down the case to a more manageable thickness relative to later BB41’s. The watch in question is in good honest condition. Scratches are noticeable throughout the case, all of which could be polished out if needed. However, the case remains unpolished, as I purchased this from the original owner and he confirmed so (beyond just my eyeball test). The watch is running well with no concerns. The watch comes as a full set with everything pictured. The set includes a factory nato strap, an additional factory leather strap and a no-name rubber strap.
