The early dial is correct for this example given the low serial number. The lacquer exhibits cracking or "spidering" that these dials are prone to suffering. There is also two chips that can be seen in the detailed photographs. The hands might have been replaced in the past.  **CASE:** The 25mm x 25mm solid 18kt yellow gold case is very strong. The caseback still exhibits the original vertically brushed finish. The hallmarks, serial and signature are all deep and crisp. The case is completed by its original crown.  **MOVEMENT:** Cartier caliber 78-1. The watch has just returned from service by Cartier in King of Prussia, PA.
