How do you make seven hands less noticeable on a dial? Put a 30mm copper antenna in the middle of the dial. **Model**: 7400-c70007, Citizen Radio Control **Year**: 1993 **Features**: ***Video:*** [Click to see a video of the watch in action.](https://www.instagram.com/p/C6GYZpiqB-e/) ***7400 movement***. The world’s first radio-controlled analogue watch, sporting a 12/24 hour sub-dial, a preset/pseudo-GMT selector, and a pusher based day and month indicator. It may not be to everyone’s taste, but you can’t pretend it isn’t incredibly interesting to look at! ***Location Selection***. The sub-dial in the bottom left allows you to choose between central Europe, the UK, and Japanese time at the click of a pusher. L-1 and L-2 are two programmable times that can be set by the user, giving the watch pseudo “GMT” functionality. The main dial on the right-hand side of the watch is typically controlled by radio signals, but it can be overridden to display anytime you desire. ***Radio Waves***. I replaced the battery a couple of weeks ago and have since tested all of the functionality. Everything works as intended, and I have been able to receive radio signal (in the UK). According to the manual it is capable of receiving a signal from up to 800km away, but thanks to modern technology you can use your phone to spoof radio signals if you don’t live close enough to a radio transmitter. I’ve not tried it myself, but according to the various videos on YouTube it definitely works! You can also manually set the time yourself without needing to use any form of radio signal. ***Unique Design***. When Citizen were working on building the first ever radio-controlled analogue watch, they had a serious problem to overcome that their digital competitors didn’t have; an abundance of metal parts that kept blocking the radio signal. The solution? Put the antenna front and centre, above all of the other metal parts. It might look like it’s above the crystal but it’s actually inside it, giving it a real unique shape. ***Aftermarket Strap***. The original bracelet is a two-stone metal strap. I prefer leather straps, so I improvised a matching blue padded leather strap for it. The original strap will be included, but it is very short and missing one pin. **Condition**: This is a watch I’ve worn a lot, and it shows on the crystal. It has various marks that can be seen from certain angles. However, the marks are all around the edge of the crystal, meaning they aren’t very noticeable when the watch is on your wrist. The case back has obvious signs of wear. The bezel is clean, and the case has a couple of minor marks but is in largely good condition. The dial is perfect. **Scope**: No box or papers. Packaged in a Provenance Watches leather case. **Movement**: 7400 quartz **Case Width**: 41mm **Lug to lug:** 44mm **Case Thickness**: 13.2mm **Bracelet width:** 20mm **Price**: I sold my unworn Citizen Radio for $1400. I’m offering this has a hugely reduced **$900** plus shipping (sent from London, UK; costs $5-$55 depending on where you are in the world). It’s a great opportunity for anyone looking to snag a unique watch at probably the lowest price this has ever been sold at in the West. I accept Wise, Paypal and Bank Transfer, depending on your transaction history. **Of note**: If anyone is interested in a great read about this watch, Fratello has you covered: [https://www.fratellowatches.com/timetravel-3-radio-controlled-citizen-7400-multizone/](https://www.fratellowatches.com/timetravel-3-radio-controlled-citizen-7400-multizone/) [Album](https://imgur.com/a/CW0Akcx) [Proof](https://imgur.com/a/ZKRdDcv)
