CONDITION

The watch is in UNPOLISHED near-mint condition and includes box and papers. It’s been barely worn and remains in excellent condition, with no major scratches or dings. One of the cleanest Rolex 114270’s on the market as it was purchased as NOS. The case back still has its original sticker.

The watch is keeping perfect time, with +/-0 secs per day, when worn or on the timegrapher.

This is a 2008 collector’s kit with BOX AND PAPERS - includes 2008 Rolex Explorer watch, green Rolex padded box, beige Rolex outer box, Rolex warranty card (papers), polishing cloth, bezel protector, hangtag and chronometer tag.

The Rolex Ref. 114270 is the definitive Explorer. It includes all the modern features you want for reliability and convenience (3130 movement, 904L steel, SEL, Super LumiNova), while still retaining it’s neo-vintage charm.

This 2008 Explorer has an ENGRAVED REHAUT, making it an even more rare of a find, considering the very limited production run of vintage explorers that were engraved. More subtle than the current engraved rehaut and a unique easter egg for the wearer.

The 114270 Explorer comes in the classic 36mm size, but has much less bracelet taper than the current 36mm Explorer model. In my opinion, the 114270 has much better proportions, with a stronger look that brings it closer to it’s roots as a refined tool watch.

HISTORY

This Rolex Explorer was purchased from a trusted professional watch dealer. Adjustment took place at a Rolex AD and all bracelet links are included.
