Up for sale today is a classy and collectable Chopard L.U.C 16/1863 Quattro. It is made of 18k yellow gold. That includes the case, indices, hands, and buckle. The dial is an engine-tuned guilloche by Metalem that is also made of solid gold. This watch shares a lot of similarities with the now cult classic and increasingly valuable 16/1860 Chopard L.U.C. The 1.98 in-house calibre movement is an evolution of the famous 1.96 movement that powers that 1860. The 1.98 movement is a manual mind with 8 days or 192 hours of power reserve. Unofficially, it lasts closer to 9 or 10 days. It carries the Geneva Seal and received COSC certification. It has 39 jewels and is hand-finished to a beautiful degree. This is a world-class movement. This is a limited edition watch of 1860 examples. It is believed that much less than that were actually produced. This watch is number 0005 of 1860. The watch is in excellent condition with only minor hairline and small scratches on the case. It could be polished to a condition that is close to near-mint if desired. There are no dings or divots or imperfections on the crystal or dial. It is running very accurate and strong at -1 second per day and an amplitude in the mid-280s. When the watch was tested previously fully-wound, the amplitude was over 300. The service history is unknown. The beat error could be regulated if desired. The sale comes with the original box and papers. The box has some light damage on the back. The original strap has some wear. A custom and unworn bonus alligator strap comes with the sale.
