Selling my beautiful Seiko SJE085 1959 Alpinist. Made in Japan limited edition of 1959 pieces. Purchased from original owner who bought from AD in Denver in May 2022. Full kit including gorgeous wooden inner box, outer box with sleeve, warranty card, instruction manual, buckle and original bund strap. It’s a gorgeous watch with vintage vibes, a big box sapphire crystal, and a higher end 6L35 movement (not 6r35, the 6l35 is a movement Seiko uses for high end Presage and the top end new King Seiko pieces. On par with higher end ETA 2892 movements). Lume is excellent, date clicks over instantly at midnight. 10 bar water resistance. It’s been running at about +6sec/day. Case condition is very good. It’s a high polished piece so there are the normal light swirlies, and two super tiny scratches just above the crown. Case back has some marks, apparently from being worn on perlon nato. Dial and hands are high polish and perfect. Because of the highly polished black dial paired with the box crystal, the hands reflect off the dial in interesting ways. Crystal is near mint - there is a very fine scratch running from the center out towards the 11:00 mark. Only visible in the right light. I’ve worn this on the original bund strap with a matching and very nice buckle. It was brand new when I got it maybe 2 months ago and has been in rotation - still in near new shape. These originally listed for high $2000s. Usually sell in the $1500 range preowned. Looking to get $1400. CONUS only.
