Up for sale is a 6117-8009 (U.S. market version of the 6117-8000 ) from May of 1968. This is a catch and release for me, [recently purchased](https://www.reddit.com/r/Watchexchange/comments/15byls4/wts_seiko_61178000_navigator_timer_gmt_1968/) from uvalaw2005. The watch was recently serviced by [thehobbyhorologist](https://www.instagram.com/p/CucyW1nRUe6/?img_index=1) and is running at about +5 seconds per day on the wrist (see timegrapher video below). Overall the watch is in excellent condition for its age. While there are hairline scratches throughout the polished case sides and bezel insert, the case lines remain sharp and the brushed upper lugs remain largely unmarred (see photos and condition video). The bidirectional bezel is taught and remains in place once set. The bezel insert, while exhibiting several harline scratches, does not have any chips, nicks, or fading and is in excellent condition. The OEM domed acrylic crystal is also clean. This example features a rare Stelux solid-link bracelet (fully linked and fits a 7.5” wrist). Examples with Stelux bracelets, which are far more durable and comfortable than their hollow-linked contemporaries, are increasingly difficult to come across in the market.
