Selling my 1997 Rolex Explorer II ref 16570 w/ polar tritinova dial. •40mm diameter, 20mm lug width, 47mm lug to lug •cal. 3185 •U serial [Photos](https://imgur.com/a/ljzyhq4) [Photos pt. 2](https://imgur.com/a/ygZvw2d) [Bezel imperfection](https://imgur.com/a/KHeCGIG) [Timestamp](https://imgur.com/a/SXdfLiB) This watch is in good condition and was purchased last year from another redditor. I purchased it to wear daily but I wound up wearing it only a handful of times during my ownership. I'm currently looking to downsize my personal collection so the time to part ways has unfortunately come. Although this watch is by no means in new condition, the case, bezel, and bracelet are all in great shape. It’s likely seen a light polish, however, the chamfers are still visible on all four lugs. There are small minor imperfections throughout the case but no notable damage/signs of neglect. There are very light marks that would come from normal wear on the bezel with the most prominent being at the 01:00 position. The 78790 bracelet has very minimal stretch. Rolex coronet is very prominent and detailed and has not been polished away. Eleven links will be included. End links are stamped 501 B. Crystal and dial dial are in great shape. There is a small flea bite on the crystal at the 7 o’clock position but nothing that would affect water resistance. After researching a bit, I’ve concluded this is a Tritinova dial based on the production year (U serial) and how long the lume plots stay illuminated for after a charge (the picture I have listed was taken roughly two minutes after exposure to a flashlight). These dial variants have luminova applied on the remaining tritium production dials. It is essentially a pre-“Swiss” only dial that is labeled “Swiss T < 25.” Thus, if you are looking for some glow to the lume this would be a good choice. If you are looking for the tritium patina to age, then this won’t age like tritium. The watch was overhauled at TicToc Watch Repair in Los Angeles in June 2020 and was running +2 seconds per day at the time of timegraphing. It also passed a pressure test at that time. I’m asking $6600 or best offer. Shipping to CONUS is on me and I’ll include insurance/signature confirmation. I accept PayPal (F&F or G&S +3% with strong references), Venmo, Zelle, or a (preferred) face to face transaction in the Los Angeles area at a secure location. I am available for FaceTime/video chat to answer any questions. Thanks for looking!
