Consolidating my collection, so I put a bunch of watches up for sale. Take a look at my other listings that will be posted here soon. Have been a WUS member for over 10 years and have bought/sold many watches here.

For sale is the rare and vintage Seiko 6139-7080 from February 1975.

Considering the age of the watch, it is in great condition. Don’t know the service history, but movement is clean and runs after a couple shakes. Day-date setting function is crisp and the pushers have both new springs and gaskets. On the crystal are some tiny scratches, but it is still original and nothing that you will notice from a normal time checking distance.

The case is a special hexagon shape and has the small lugs of 16mm, but the first link is 23mm wide. The watch comes with the original bracelet, but since that didn’t fit my wrist I bought an aftermarket one that can fit easily up to 7.5”. Also included is a brown vintage leather strap that I cut to 16mm. Not easy to get it on, but the vintage look is great.

The dial is black with a blue speed ring around to the tachymeter. The red seconds hand is only moving after you push the top pusher. After a minute the smaller silver sub dial hand will move one forward. So, in normal use, you will only see the hour and minute hands moving.

I bought this watch because it is different than the other 6139 chrono’s. If you are up for an unique vintage Seiko, this is the one.
