For sale is a H2 Kraken from Hamtun. This is a great example of what the world of micro-brands has to offer. The watch case and bracelet are constructed of scratch-resistant titanium, making the entire watch very light on the wrist. The bezel rotates with distinct clicks and no back play. This one has the 12hr bezel insert, allowing the watch to be used to keep time in a second timezone. The raised indices set it apart from the H1 variant, and the "step-down" border on the date window is a nice touch. Overall, the size of the watch is very similar to the popular Seiko SKX. Detailed specs are as follows:

  • Case width: 41mm (w/o crown)
  • Lug to lug length: 48mm
  • Lug spacing: 22mm
  • Thickness: 13.8mm
  • Crystal: sapphire with inside A/R coating
  • Movement: Seiko NH35a automatic
  • WR rating: 200 meters

The watch is in near mint condition. The titanium case and bracelet show no signs of wear to my eyes, likely thanks to the scratch resistant treatment on the titanium. The crystal is perfect (pardon the fingerprint smudge in one of the pictures below). The movement is running well and keeping good time. The crown screws down smoothly and securely. The bracelet has been sized for a 6.75" wrist, and all removed links will be included. The bonus rubber strap was cut to fit a 6.75" wrist. Also included is a MN style elastic strap. Everything comes in the nice leather watch pouch from Hamtun.
