The year end downsizing continues, and I'm getting to my collection of Seiko Monsters.

Up for sale here is a SRP455, the Limited Edition blue Monster that Seiko issued to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the company. Much has been written about this model, and here are a couple of blog posts on it: thetimebum and azfinetime. Personally I find it to be the best looking Monster (of any gen). I have a picture below of my favorite view of the watch, where the dial, the hands, and the bezel catch light at an angle. The case design is classic Monster, and have the following specs:

  • Case width: 42.5mm (w/o crown)
  • Lug to lug length: 47.5mm
  • Lug spacing: 20mm
  • Thickness: 12.5mm
  • Crystal: Hardlex
  • Movement: Seiko 4R36 automatic
  • WR rating: 200 meters

The watch is in excellent condition. The only notable mark on the case I found was on the bezel between minute 23 and 24. Other than that and some surface scoff marks on the case back, the watch head is pristine. The pictures captured quite a bit of dust, which I will make sure to clean up. The crystal is perfect, the bezel rotates and clicks as it should, and the crown screws down smoothly and securely. The movement is running well and keeping time. In addition to the blue rubber strap that came with the watch, a OEM Monster bracelet will also be included. The watch comes with the commemorative box, hang tags, and papers.
