The year end downsizing continues as I put up a few more 8F56 watches for sale. This one here is a SBCJ007 "Landrek" on the original bracelet.

To my eyes this model shares some design cues with the Spork (dial) and the Monster (case). The Landrek has a titanium case, screw down crown, and bidirectional bezel. The crown jewel of course is the 8F56 movement, which is a high accuracy quartz movement (spec'ed to within 20 seconds a year when worn regularly). In addition to perpetual calendar and a 10-year battery change interval, the 8F56 is a "true GMT" watch, otherwise known as a "traveller's GMT". The hour hand can be quickset independently at 1 hour intervals. To many people this is preferred over the other kind of GMT watch, where the 24 hr hand is the quickset hand.

Specs of the Landrek are as follows:
  • Case width: 41mm (w/o crown)
  • Lug to lug length: 46mm
  • Lug spacing: 20mm
  • Thickness: 12.5mm
  • Crystal: mineral
  • Movement: Seiko 8F56 HAQ w/ GMT & perpetual calendar
  • WR rating: 200 meters

The watch for sale is in very good condition. The case and bezel appear to have been polished, and show very little wear, save for one scratch on the outside of the upper right lug. The original crystal is scratch free, the crown screws down smoothly, and the bezel rotates both ways with the right amount of friction. The bracelet has some desk diving marks. The movement is running well and the perpetual calendar has been properly set.
