For sale is a super cool and rare vintage Girard-Perregaux monopusher chronograph from the mid-20th century. As discussed below, it appears all original, and it was just completely serviced, working just as it should and ready to wear. Asking $2250 shipped overnight CONUS. Will consider trades from certain brands -- Rolex, Patek, JLC, Vacheron, and vintage Longines, in particular.

There is so much to love about this piece. Coming from a top-tier manufacturer and fitted with one of the greatest manual wind chronograph movements, the Valjoux 71, this watch presents a serious value. We love that this iteration of the movement comes in the interesting monopusher configuration in which the chronograph starts, stops, and resets all with the same button.

The military-style dial and case also bring a lot of character to the watch, especially with the still-intact fixed spring bars. And the dial itself is gorgeous, with a matte black background contrasted with gold printed numerals and text with matching polished gold dauphine hands that seriously pop. The red seconds hand is also a nice touch.

The Specs and Details

The present watch, circa mid century, is made of stainless steel and wears great at 34mm in diameter and 12mm in thickness. It has tachymeter chronograph scale for measuring speed, and a 30 minute sub register for measuring elapsed time. We believe the dial, hands, and case are in their original condition, which is excellently preserved, with a very small amount of red paint having rubbed off the chronograph seconds hand at some point in the past. The case is also in good condition with some small dings on the lugs and bezel, and other minor marks on the case sides.

The Valjoux 71 movement inside the watch has 17 jewels and beats at a rate of 18,000 vph. All functions are working properly and the watch is keeping good time.

This watch was just completely serviced, and comes with a 6 month warranty covering the mechanical workings of the movement. I also offer a 7 day inspection period, meaning that the watch can be returned in that time provided that it is returned in the same condition in which it was sent.

Onto the pics!
