In the late 1990's and early 2000's Croton had a line of watches called 'Equator' that pretty much copied the Rolex Day-Date and Datejust models in size, weight and definitely the look of the iconic Rolex models. Word has it that these models were constructed in Italy to the same specifications as the Rolex models; they even used interchangeable sapphire crystals, casetubes and screwdown crowns - just like the Rolex Oysters. These Crotons were so close to the Rolex models that, according to watch lore, Rolex sued Croton for copyright infringement and Croton ceased making the Equator line of watches in the early 2000's. The watch that I am selling is the Equator Lady Datejust using the Swiss made ETA caliber 2671 movement with the quickset date. The 26mm stainless steel case has a SOLID 18K fluted bezel and the center links are SOLID 18K 'capped' center links - just like Rolex used on some of their models. The watch weighs in at 55 grams and really does have the feel and heft of a real Rolex. This lovely 'Lady President' has a genuine white mother of pearl dial with Roman numerals - just pops! The watch comes with inner and outer box only. I will rate this watch conservatively as 'EXCELLENT' as it has never been polished and the lugs are razor sharp! Movement was serviced in 2016 and the watch winds, runs and functions without any issues! No receipt for the service but I will back this up with a 3 day return privilege if the watch has any issues. I will take $800 via PayPal plus 3% plus actual shipping. I have numerous references from WUS and other forums. You can e-mail me at:
