Up for sale is a CWC military pilot's chronograph. This is the modern reissue of the watch originally issued to RAF and Royal Navy pilots starting in the late 1970's (full specs here). Having owned five or six examples of the so-called Fab Four MoD chronos, I can tell you that this version is highly faithful to the original - minus the hassles of owning a vintage watch. I've been told by the distributor (Silverman's) that only 450 of these reissued pieces were made, so they don't come up for sale all that often.

This watch has been owned by me since I purchased it new from Silverman's in 2015. It's in very nice shape, with only a few tiny swirl marks on the case and no more than the usual signs of normal wear on the plexiglass crystal. I didn't care for the original polished case finish, so I sent the watch to Jack at IWW to have it professionally brushed. I think the results speak for themselves - it looks great this way, and is much more in keeping with the appearance of the original examples. The dial and hands are in nice shape, although the tritium doesn't have much glow anymore. All the functions of the manual-winding Valjoux 7764 movement including the chronograph operate just as they should. The watch will come on a green NATO strap, with the original CWC tin and papers as shown in the photos.

I'm asking $1900 for this watch, which will include Paypal fees and insured USPS shipping to a US address. If you're outside the US, I can investigate the cost of shipping to your location. Drop me a line if interested, and thanks for looking.
