As discussed in the Japanese Watch Discussion Forum...this is a Seiko Military pocket watch circa 1940's. This is a Seikosha Military watch /Flight clock, does not appear to have original hands, likely mounted to the dashboard in cockpit of Japanese planes, possibly Kamikaze piloted. Type 100, screw on front & back, possibly radium lume.
This watch runs great - but has an issue with the canon pinion that will not allow me to set the time without popping off the hands (perhaps because this is not the correct handset). I imagine the part is unobtanium or would have to be custom fabricated or find a set of the right hands from a parts watch.
All of that said, this is a special watch with historical significance - hopefully SCWF is the place where it can find a forever home.
PayPal F&F only – price includes shipping in the lower 48 states – please let me know if you have any questions before purchasing. PM with interest. Thank you for looking!
