This watch features a handcrafted unglazed Arita porcelain dial, representing Seiko’s latest porcelain dial design. The dial has a raw, matte, and completely unglazed surface, showcasing the natural texture of the ceramic material. The watch has been lightly worn, remains in excellent condition, and has been carefully maintained. Within the Presage line, this is the first time Seiko has adopted the “Muyū (unglazed)” technique. Unlike traditional Arita porcelain, which is glazed to achieve a smooth, glossy finish, this unglazed technique preserves the natural ceramic stone material, resulting in a warm, matte texture with sharp, well-defined edges that are unique to unglazed porcelain dials. The dial is decorated with a diamond-shaped (Hishigata) pattern, a traditional auspicious motif symbolizing prosperity, longevity, and good health, reinterpreted in a modern design to create a refined appearance with excellent visual depth. The polished gold-tone hands and indices stand out beautifully against the matte unglazed porcelain dial, adding an elegant contrast.
