Letting go of my Christopher Ward The Twelve 36mm in Nordic Blue - a watch that truly punches above its weight. Condition is a solid 8.5/10, with only light wear from rotation. Comes with full kit. The finishing is levels above a PRX and unlike the 35mm PRX which looks like a shrunken 40mm. The 36mm feels better proportioned, as if it was designed to be a 36mm watch. This piece gets noticed. I've had people - from fellow travelers on flights to strangers at the grocery store - stop and ask, "Wait, is that a Chris Ward?" The finishing, dial texture, and wrist presence never fail to impress. Christopher Ward was founded by Chris Ward, Mike France and Peter Ellis on a boat on the river Thames in 2004.

In 2005, Christopher Ward released their first watch which created a whole new model for the watchmaking industry. When influential watch bloggers wrote about their watches on TimeZone, Christopher Ward were being discussed more than Rolex in December 2005.

For the company’s 10th anniversary in 2014, it merged with Swiss manufacturing partners Synergies Horlogères SA to create Christopher Ward London Holdings Ltd. This culminated in the launch of Christopher Ward’s first in-house movement, Calibre SH21, in July 2014. Conceived and designed over the past four years by Christopher Ward’s watchmaker, Johannes Jahnke, the SH21 is entirely Swiss-made by some craftsmen. This release is said to be “probably the most important development by a British watch brand in the past 50 years.”

Christopher Ward London was the only watch company to rank in The Sunday Times SME Export Track 100, ranking 77th in 2015.
