Lorier Hyperion SII Lorier is a microbrand based in New York but manufacturers overseas to keep consumer costs competitive.   Their watches tend to ooze vintage inspiration with a touch of modern: retro- future?  This Hyperion is clearly a jet-setting nod to the midcentury GMT Master ref. 6542 that Pan Am commissioned Rolex for their pilots to track multiple time zones with smooth legibility. The Hyperion II pays homage to the bakelite, roulette wheel date, gilt configuration from the 1950s but with hesalite components and a flat link Epsilon bracelet which usually tracks with the Speedmaster.  Extra sauce: the bezel sports green lume and the markers a blue Superluminova. Overall, this is a clean timepiece with once owner who collects with care.
