Today I'm finally trying to sell my rare vintage 1940's Hamilton Otis, clearly inspired by the JLC Reverso. JLC launched the Reverso in 1931, and Hamilton decided to make a reversible watch of their own in 1938. These watches are pretty rare since they were made from 1938 till about 1940 when Hamilton stopped production due to a patent infringement lawsuit from JLC. The case,14k gold filled in this example, has its reversing design functioning perfectly. These watches were typically engraved, though you can find some examples without engravings. This particular watch has a stylized "ELH" engraved on the reversible face, and "from Dad May 9th, 1940" on the case back. Service history unknown, but you don't buy a watch like this for accurate timekeeping. **Additional Information:** * Size: 40mm by 24mm, for reference it's pictured on my 6.75 inch wrist * Year: Late 1930's * Movement: Hamilton 17j 980 movement * Boxes/Papers: No/No I’m asking **$2500 USD** net to me and will ship within CONUS. Paypal G&S for established members, else PayPal F&F. Happy to meet in-person if you're in NYC.
