[WTS] Vintage Zenith Defy A3642 Here’s an early 70s example of the original Zenith Defy. It’s an iconic watch, with its octagonal case and 14 sided bezel. This watch was nicknamed the “bank vault” for its sturdy toughness. Given its sharp angles and Genta-like styling, it’s interesting to think that this watch preceded the Royal Oak by 3 years. Dimensions are 37mm in diameter, 44.2mm lug to lug, and 13mm thick. The 2552PC movement has been serviced and is running extremely well. There is a chip in the crystal at 12 o’clock and a few smaller marks throughout. The beautiful military gray/green dial has lots of patina. The case has scratches throughout, but remains strong and very solid. The date wheel has a lot of aging and patina, including a complete lack of the number 13!
