Please see pictures for further detail. The watch comes without a bracelet or papers, but includes an older style Rolex green box (without a pillow). I recently purchased this, but It is unfortunately excess to my needs/wants as a vintage Rolex collector… I need to stop making impulsive decisions! This will look fantastic on a crisp new black NATO. ROLEX Explorer II Ref. 16570, Black Dial Circa: 1991 Reference No.: 16570 CASE: 40mm, stainless steel, 24 hour bezel, sapphire crystal. MOVEMENT: Caliber 3185, with the typical 3185 jitter when quick setting the hour hand. Movement winds nicely. The rotor is quiet, and the inner of the case-back indicates an April 2016 service. The watch is currently very reliably running at 0-2s a day, at around 220deg of amplitude. I’d probably plan on a service in the near to medium term, though it’s not urgently necessary. DIAL: Black dial with applied tritium hour markers and SWISS-T<25 at the bottom. The tritium on the early 16570’s patinas so nicely, and this is no different. It’s developed into a beautiful creamy off white. BRACELET: No bracelet. Watch only. CONDITION: The watch has been used, but not abused. It appears unpolished, with bevels still strong. Pinholes are perfectly circular and crisp. Dial and hands are aged in line with a watch from this era, as seen in the pictures. There are marks across the whole watch, including the bezel.
