For sale this holiday season! The limited edition of 1,959 pieces Alpinist will make a fine addition to your Seiko collection! This watch is oozing with mid century character and has an excellent and rich history documented extensively on watch forums, blogs and YouTube. I have loved owning this watch but it just doesn’t get wrist time and doesn’t quite fit my style unfortunately. The 6L35 has been nothing but amazing! On my wrist the watch gains about 5 seconds per week. It looks best in my opinion in the brown sailcloth strap which will be included as well as a few others including all of the original papers, tags, bund strap, warranty card and booklet, rice papers inner and outer box. This is the full package plus my two sailcloth straps from Finland and the crown and buckle 18mm NATO. ( no use for 18mm without this Alpinist) 36.5mm diameter 100m water resistance 6L35 movement Box, papers, tags etc…. 2x Sailcloth (black and brown) 1x black and grey NATO Priced reasonably at $1500.00 or best offer PayPal F&F, will except G&S with 4.5% price increase

The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
