Hey all — yes, parting with this one too. The Sub 300 is a terrific dive watch. Maybe one of the best (I certainly think so). But in lieu of a different diver I’ve got my heart set on, it has to go. Not even a month old… I just got over-eager and trimmed the $440 OEM strap down for my 7” wrist, so here we are. Non-returnable status. Case: 42.5 measuring 3:00 to 9:00, 45.5 lug to lug, 13.4mm thicc including the nicest sapphire dome you ever did see. Wears incredibly slim to the wrist. Dial is also just 27.5mm (vintage reissue, more or less) further reducing that case diameter and visual presence in the best of ways. Bezel is true to the original with polished outer ring and brushed, indexed inner ring. No blemishes on the case, bezel or crystal; nary a scuff or scratch on the clasp, either. Running at +/- 1 second a day, well within COSC standards. Curiously, these new ones aren’t shipped with COSC papers like the (much more expensive) limited edition/50th anniversary versions of the Sub 300, but oh well — this movement ain’t letting you down anytime soon. The bezel clicks 120x like the piece of gear it’s meant to be. Crown screws in like butter. Strap wraps the wrist like…. Well, it’s really nice. The clasp is rock-solid and fully milled, no complaints there; the micro adjust within the clasp is of the ratcheting variety, not my first pick in theory, but in practice it’s amazing. It also means without taking the watch off you can easily accommodate for some wrist swelling/shrinkage in changing temps, pretty rare to find elsewhere. And the watch (20mm lugs!) looks killer on a variety of other straps, so there’s that. Side note: new rubber is $250, so if you end up buying this guy and decide you want the rubber to fit your 7.25” + wrist without ratcheting out the clasp, that’s always an option (in multiple colors too!). Meanwhile there’s the OEM beads of rice bracelet you can also buy from Doxa, & there’s Tropic, Isofrane, NATOs galore, et al. And to that end, I’m including this $38 RSM strap in “black hatch” coloring. It’s a neat woven nylon deal with zero taper, a killer buckle, an integrated woven keeper, and integrated quick-release springbars. Shipped within 24 hours of payment via buyer’s choice of carrier. I always go for USPS Priority or UPS Ground by default. Asking a NEGOTIABLE $2200 (MSRP $2490) including shipping within CONUS, to be paid via PayPal f&f. The buyer can elect for other payment options, as long as they pay the additional fees those options may incur. No trades unless you’re jonesing to part with a Tudor.
