Hi watchex, This is one of my favorite pieces, but like many of you here I constantly find myself wanting to try new high-end watches. Without an unlimited budget, that means that I end up with something of a revolving door. With that said, I am thinking of trading or selling my fifty fathoms bathyscaphe, ref 5000-1110-B52A. This watch needs no introduction, but for those of us that like the history of watches, this can claim to be the original modern dive watch, and is made by the oldest watch manufacturer (Blancpain was founded in 1735!) It is 43mm in case diameter but quite wearable at about 13mm thick and under 50mm lug to lug. Here is a wrist shot on my 6.5” wrist, and I think it fits nicely: https://imgur.com/a/2JvvgDC The Blancpain cal 1315 inside is a monster - antimagnetic, beautifully finished, 120 hr power reserve, and running at +0.5 spd for me over the last month or so: https://imgur.com/a/tbT5JsS This one is a full kit, with card dated November 2019. I also have 6 additional straps on top of the sailcloth: 2 Blancpain gator straps in black and brown, an Erika’s Connery strap, and 3 Barton elite silicones that I think all work nicely with it. Note that there are 2 extra holes in the sailcloth strap; they were cleanly done but slightly noticeable and worth mentioning. Condition is very good overall- there are some minor swirls on the case and bezel, and a ding at the bottom of the case side at 9:00 (although you can’t see the ding at all on the wrist due to position). Also some strap change marks on the back of the lugs.
