The Heuer features a brushed steel case, which is accented by an unidirectional 60 minute timer bezel. The Skipper is currently mounted on a black calfskin leather strap, which is secured by an original steel Heuer big logo tang buckle. The Heuer features a black dial with tritium white index hour markers, white tritium coated hands, a tri color subdial register 3 o’clock, a date window aperture at 6 o’clock, and a seconds sub dial register in between 9 and 10 o’clock. The tricolor sub dial at 3 o’clock is configured as a 15 minuet countdown timer for regata yacht racing, with each of the three colors representing 5 minuets in the countdown interval. The movement used in the 15640 is the Heuer Caliber 15, which is running well.

The Heuer’s case has been preserved well, and remains thick, while showing minimal signs of previous wear. The black calfskin strap does show light signs of previous wear, while the additional blue calfskin strap remains unworn. The only imperfections on the Heuer are some faint surface level hairline scratches on the watch’s high polished accents, and some extremely faint scuffs on the bezel insert. Overall the Heuer is in excellent condition, and is a wonderful all original example of a MKII 15640 Skipper.
