Good morning u/watchexchange, A very heart heavy start to the Chinese New Year following a senseless attack on my community. I live in a small-ish City near Los Angeles called Monterey Park which is predominantly Asian American and last night, during our City's gatherings to celebrate the Chinese New Year, a mass shooter struck one of our local venues killing 10 people with many more in critical condition. Two of the victims were family members of a neighbor on my street. I haven't even had the opportunity to speak with them and I don't claim to know them intimately, though I do know them and see them often on my morning walks. We feel this here in our little City. The streets are quiet this morning with all remaining celebrations being cancelled. My heart goes out to the family of the victims and I wish a full and quick recovery to all those injured. 100% of the proceeds from my sales today will go to my bereaved neighbors.
