Vintage Destro Aquadive Time-Depth Electronic Watch
Vintage Destro Aquadive Time-Depth Electronic Watch
CASE: The absolutely *massive* 47mm (without unsigned screw-down crown) steel case is in excellent shape. It weighs nearly a quarter pound, head-only, and is a literally unforgettable on the wrist. I can see no evidence that it's ever been refinished: the original brushing and polishing is evident, and the bevels remain sharp. The caseback writing is clear—and note that there's some mysterious numerals on the caseback (00000 above 2471, both light and toward the bottom lugs); your guess is as good as mine. The bezel's great and clicks unidirectionally, as it should, and the crystal, I suspect, is original, too. Just in fantastic shape.
DIAL+HANDS: Incredibly, I'm fairly confident these are all original (I'm not the original owner, obv, but nothing appears touched). All lume energizes with UV light and fades within seconds. Obviously taste is subjective, but this example's phenomenally clean+well maintained, if this sort of watch is yr jam.
MVMT: I don't know the service history, nor do I know how well or accurately the depth gauge works presently. That said, it's running spot-on, and has been for more than a week.
Price is $1600. Watch and I are in Indiana/USA. I'm happy to work out shipping/payment method with the buyer, answer any questions, and provide as many references as requested. Thanks for looking, and to Jeff/CT for the space+community.
