MINT Korsbek Oceaneer 1000m - Girlie men need not apply...
$1,995
Well, apparently I'm a girlie man
Specs:
Case: 316L Stainless Steel
Case size: 45mm
Lug width: 24mm
Height: 17mm
Movement: ETA 2892 automatic
Weight on bracelet: A LOT
1 of 100 total made
MSRP: $1995.00
This is a "time capsule" watch to me...a near-perfect example of one of the coolest divers back from the hey day. It's not a micro brand, but a limited edition special done in conjunction with Fricker, one of the most respected engineering firms in Germany. If I could pull it off, I'd keep it for sure because it just feels and looks special. You're wearing 1 of 100 ever produced. How's that compare to a 1 of XXX, XXX, XXX Rolex?
Comes with the full kit: Pelican Case (not a replica Pelican Case, but a REAL Pelican Case), ZULU Extreme black rubber dive strap, full Korsbek bracelet and all links, sizing rod(?), warranty card (expired), polishing cloth, pressure test slip. I'm including a bunch of 24mm straps (Ocean7 rubber, leather, two 24mm ZULUs, and a custom leather strap the previous owner had made (it looks/feels like it cost some $$$). Without the bracelet on, the weight lightens considerably, so you have a lot of options to find the strap that works best for you.
So, to re-cap, before you buy this watch, answer these simple questions:
1. I work out at Pilates three times a week. Can I wear this watch? No.
2. I can curl 20lb dumbbells at Planet Fitness? Can I wear this watch. No.
3. I own a Pomeranian. Can I wear this watch? No.
1. I have called in airstrikes from an OP in Afghanistan. Can I wear this watch? Yes.
2. My knuckles drag on the ground when I walk. Can I wear this watch? Yes.
3. I used to have a UTS 4000m but found it too small. Can I wear this watch? Yes!!!
Photos taken today. Not interested in trades at this time. CONUS only unless we know each other, and then at additional expense. I'm not a business, so I can't take returns unless something has been grossly misrepresented (which I make all efforts to avoid). It's a big watch. I mean, really big. It's heavy. You've been warned.
$1150 gets it shipped and PP'd to your door in 2-3 days. If you only want the bracelet and ZULU that came with the watch, $1050. Longtime guy here on the forum with excellent feedback.
