Little history before you are lucky to get this beauty!

This is a rare Seiko automatic chronograph and an iconic piece in Seiko’s history.

This is Seiko 6139 which is Seiko’s first automatic chronograph movement. It is a single register chronograph with a 30 minute counter, no continuous seconds and a quickset daydate display. The 6139s came in a range of dial colors and case styles and marketed under a range of names, the most significant being the ‘Speed-Timer’.

This is a classic example of a vintage chronograph of the 1970’s. It was a golden period for Seiko, when their modern approach to production challenged the tradition bound Swiss and before the onslaught of quartz technology, changed telling the time forever.

Condition: Mint, the watch has been serviced.

Accuracy: Runs 0 to 2 seconds per day

Movement: 6139 with 21600 beats per hour..

Case: Stainless Steel.

Case size: 39.5mm

Dial: Gorgeous blue dial with a blue sub dial. The seconds hand is orange colored which gives a very nice contrast to the blue dial. It really does pop.

Strap: SS bracelet which will fit up to 20 cm wrist.

Provided is watch and box. Please refer the pics as they are the representation of the condition.

Asking $900 plus label. Paypal/ Zelle/ Venmo. CONUS shipping preferred. Comps on chrono24 are all over the place ranging from $1200 to $2500. Condition is everything in a vintage watch and my watch’s condition is on par with the comps I am sharing. Some people on instagram are asking 1200€ for a seiko automatic chronograph so I have priced it very fair considering my watch is serviced.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for looking.

Best,
Sagar
